Hugh: Time for an Update on McCain and Alito

Hugh Hewitt quoted Jim Geraghty quoting John Fund’s claim that John McCain “indicated he might draw the line on a Samuel Alito, because ‘he wore his conservatism on his sleeve.” The trouble is that Gerahgty has posted an update in which McCain making denies the statement. Byron York has further details indicating Fund misrepresented McCain’s position. And I did the spade work to demonstrate that McCain was a strong Alito supporter. Yet, as of 4:35 PM, no update from Hugh acknowledging any of this.

Hugh never apologizes and never goes off message.  Hugh Hewitt is the Tom Cruise of political punditry.

Instead of idolizing dead L. Ron Hubbard, Hugh Hewitt is like Mrs. Iselin in the Manchurian Canidate, carefully protecting and promoting his “baby” Mitt Romney.  Since getting Mitt to become the next POTUS is an absolute good in Hugh’s eyes, any means or methods of getting to that goal are justified.

I don’t think Hugh ever apologized to Michael Medved or John McCain for promoting Mitt Romney lies. http://michaelmedved.townhall.com/blog/g/a52da5d2-10bf-4ac1-948f-40bb9972db73
I doubt he will to you.

My prediction, another post from Hugh on Romney Rising and how the McCain campaign is doomed.

Hugh “Ellsworth Toohey” Hewitt has no shame and will never admit defeat.
