I Guess Politics Really Ain’t Pattycake

Leftist protestors have disrupted John McCain’s speech twice so far. When was the last time conservative activists broke into a Democratic National Convention to disrupt the acceptance speech by their Presidential candidate? Ever?

Just wondering.

Update: I’m reliably told that at least on of the protestors was a Ron Paul paleolibertarian type. Fine. Of course, the Paulites are so far to the right that they loop around underneath the political spectrum and come back out on the left side.

The first protester was an Iraq-war vet and a Ron Paul supporter.  Not exactly a leftist.

If you’re referring to the Vet holding the banner (click my name for pics of the protest), I wouldn’t call the first one a distruption. The cameras cut away to him, so maybe it distracted the home viewer, but not McCain.

I’d be interested in how these folks got in hall the hall, what credentials they had, and where they got them.

I suspect the juvenile LLLers are just hugging themselves with glee.  Note that McCain had a nice ad congratulating Obama and didn’t step on his bounce until the day after.  Obama went for squash during McCain’s night with the O’Reilly interview.

I know McCain is trying to be a decent guy, but Obama’s crowd, as they’ve shown are shameless. Victory is all.  If McCain loses, it is a stupid tactic.  If he wins, it may make it a bit easier to reach across the aisle.

If you need a reminder of what is wrong with the left, watch Real Time this week.  After Jeffrey Toobin and Bill Maher go over every Palin lie in misleading false detail as they were fact, Bill and his guests attempt to lynch Michael Steele for having the audacity to defend McCain-Palin.

Seriously, it was not close to funny.  It was sick in its relentlessness.

I had an acquaintance - another professor - mention this as something funny.  She wondered why no one protested at the DNC.  I pointed out that Republicans are, by and large, too polite for that kind of behavior.
