The chutzpah! How can you, as a conservative, criticize anyone when it comes to spending after these eight years. lol! This is good.

Maybe he’s going to follow the Republican “deficits don’t matter” approach and just borrow the money from the Chinese.

Just as a reminder to anyone who needs it, “Republican” and “conservative” are not synonymous, and many conservatives are livid about the expansion of government spending over the last eight years. 

Looking forward, though, does anyone seriously think that President McCain would spend more or create bigger deficits than President Obama (or President Clinton II)? 

And looking back, for that matter, I’m not sure that President Bush’s budgets haven’t been more restrained than the drunken sailor spending we would have gotten from President Gore or President Kerry.  For example, the Medicare prescription drug benefit is an abomination, but it’s hard to imagine how much more far-reaching, bloated, and wasteful it would have been if Democrats had been in control.
