Dreams in the Air

Ten years ago, I couldn’t sleep on planes. Now I can’t stay awake on them. I also have the strangest dreams when I’m flying. On today’s flight to DC, for example, I dreamt I was acting in a World War II film with Tyrone Power. He played a downed Allied pilot trying to evade capture. I played a German officer who was a secret agent for the Allies helping Power escape.

Then I had this recurring dream about being back in school, except I never went to class and didn’t even know where the classes were held.

I need a Freudian, I think.

"I need a Feudian”

Or Ambien.  You won’t remember a thing and it’s cheaper.  7 hours minimum flight time, though.

Why “except”?  Sounds pretty much like the real thing to me.

I have that dream *all the time*.  Must be an academic thing.

Your school dream sounds like mine. I know I have to get to class at Northeastern University, but I’ve forgotten the notebooks which list the days and times of the classes, and I haven’t read the assigned readings.  I think of that nightamre as pennace for having done graduate school.
