No Football for LA

AP reports that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell “welcomes the plan by developer Edward P. Roski Jr. to build a 75,000-seat stadium in Los Angeles to help lure back the NFL, which hasn’t had a team there since 1994. He noted, however, the league has no plans to expand and no current franchise seems in enough trouble to seek relocation.”

I’m of two minds about this. On the one hand, it would be really cool to have a hometown team to root for. Season tickets, tailgating, and all that fun stuff. On the other hand, not having a team in this TV market, means that DirecTV doesn’t blackout any of my NFL games. On the whole, however, I think I’d like to have a hometown team.

And, no, please don’t suggest that I adopt USC as my home campaign.
