Sit/Start Advice

Sit/start columns often are one of the more useless pieces of fantasy football advice. The very informative FFL, for example, tells us that the consensus view of fantasy experts is that we should sit “LenDale White, Rudi Johnson, Julius Jones, Fred Taylor.” That consensus does me no good if my choices are Maurice Jones-Drew, Julius Jones, and Rudi Johnson, as is the case with my Bruinskins team.

As it happens, I’m going to sit Johnson. All 3 are facing tough defenses. I keep starting Jones-Drew because of his passing game potential and history of scoring. As between Jones and Johnson, I hear Johnson and Smith are going to share the workload. The Lions suck. Maurice Morris isn’t going to play for the Seahawks. The Lions really suck. Given my options, I can’t sit both and Jones makes the better choice.
