I’m a liberal Democrat, and I think this is a mistake a lot of my people make: Blaming the soldiers and not the leaders that came up with this fustercluck in the first place. Soldiers do kill people, as they do in every war, but they do so out of a sense of sacrifice. President Bush wants to keep us in Iraq because his ego couldn’t handle withdrawal. He has to be the decider. He’s like a child.
